How Long Does It Actually Last?
The A5 2017 has a 3,000 mAh battery. With a healthy replacement, here is what you can expect in daily use:
Light use — calls, WhatsApp, some browsing: about 10 to 12 hours of screen-on time. You will get through a full day on one charge.
Moderate use — social media, camera, some YouTube: about 6 to 8 hours. You will need to charge by evening.
Heavy use — gaming, GPS navigation, recording video: about 3 to 4 hours. Carry a charger if you are out all day.
These numbers depend on your screen brightness, which apps you run, and whether you are on 4G or WiFi. A 3,000 mAh battery was decent in 2017, but by 2026 standards it is small. Do not expect two-day battery life.
What You Are Actually Buying
These are original Samsung EB-BA520ABE batteries are very efficient. They are not factory-sealed new stock. Each battery is tested for voltage and capacity before we ship it. We check that it holds at least 90 percent of its rated 3,000 mAh.
Manufacturing date is 2016 to 2017. Li-ion batteries lose capacity slowly even in storage, so we test every unit. If a battery fails our test, we do not sell it.
Installation — Professional Only
The A5 2017 has a glass back panel glued to the frame with strong adhesive. Removing it requires a heat gun, plastic prying tools, and experience with Samsung phones. The fingerprint sensor cable is fragile and easy to tear. The back glass cracks easily if handled wrong.
This battery must be installed by a professional technician only. We do not recommend DIY installation. In Pakistan, qualified mobile repair shops in Hafeez Center Lahore, Saddar Karachi, or your local mobile market can handle this. Typical installation cost is Rs. 300 to 500. The job takes 20 to 30 minutes when done properly.
