Signs of a Weak BlackBerry Battery

Your M-S1 battery may need replacement if:

• The charge finishes too quickly
• The set switches off before reaching 0% mostly shut down at 20-30%
• The battery percentage jumps up or down
• The phone heats up during charging
• The battery has become swollen
• The back cover no longer closes properly
• The phone works only while connected to the charger

If the set still has the same problem after changing the battery, ask a technician to check the charging jack, charging section and main board.

Fitting the Battery

The BlackBerry Bold has a removable battery, so fitting is normally simple. Switch off the phone, remove the back cover and place the battery according to the gold contact points. Do not press or force it into position.
